Hi all,
Rick's France book doesn't include places to sleep in Versailles and I'm planning to stay a couple of nights there this May. Does anyone have any hotels or Airbnb/Verbo suggestions?
Thanks! Lucy.

We have stayed in Hotel Le Versailles - it is literally a stone's throw from the palace, and at the time was a bit more of a splurge than we normally did. But now I see that prices would be acceptable to me, so maybe just my budget has increased now that I am an oldster ...
Beautifully appointed rooms, each with their own wallpaper fresco, and fantastic breakfasts.

BTW - the palace is closed Mondays but the gardens, paddle boats on the lake and restaurant are still open to enjoy.

I stayed here this year and loved it. Right near the main gate entrance to Versailles, fabulous breakfast buffet, nice rooms, great air conditioning.
