Where to meet up at CDG?

My friend both arrive early A.M. at CDG. One on United, one in Delta.
Where's a good spot to find each other and grab taxi or Uber to hotel?

Who is scheduled to arrive first? Have that person take the CDGVal shuttle and meet the other as they exit customs. Either way, someone will be taking the shuttle. And take a taxi not an Uber.

What is CDGVal shuttle and where do you get it? The one from united arrives an hour earlier than the other. From D.C. and Delta from Seattle.

Just note that the terminal that serves United (Terminal 1) is a few kilometers away from the bulk of the airport (Terminal 2) and its many sub-terminals - and where Delta arrives.

The CDGval is the airport train that shuttles between terminals.

You might want to check out EasyCDG website to get an idea of the way CDG is laid out. And you and your person you are meeting definitely are gonna need data on your phones to ensure you can find each other.

THX bunches. I've never been there and it's been 20 years since friend has. Will get that app. We have months to figure all this out. Luckily.

Simplest: Take separate transportation and meet at your hotel.

I've thought of that.

Or one could just take shuttle to terminal 2 and meet there for taxi.

Uber or taxi? Who likes which?

Here's why it makes sense to meet at your hotel instead of CDG.

1) Flights are often delayed. Do you really want to wait around a soulless terminal after a 6-9 hour international flight for an underdetermined amount of time to meet your buddy?

2) United arrives in Terminal One. Delta arrives in Terminal Two. A shuttle train called CDGVAL goes between, with several stops in between. It can be very confusing. There isn't a clear "meeting point" in either terminal. Even if you decide in advance who is going to transfer to the other terminal for the meeting, flight delays could complicate the plan.

3) Taxi stands are clearly marked in the baggage claim areas of EACH terminal. The fare to Paris is REGULATED so you won't be overcharged. Taxis can use bus/carpool lanes--Uber cannot. It's faster if you take a taxi from the official taxi stand. Each of you can take a separate taxi to your hotel and meet without the hassle in the heart of Paris. It's worth the extra cost to go on your own.

My daughter lives in France and I have been to CDG at least 10 times. It is one of the most confusing airports in the world. Don't risk starting your trip with a huge mess. Meet at the hotel and then enjoy one of the most amazing cities on the planet.
