where to get prepaid cell phone -Orly

We will be landing at Orly and will need to get a prepaid cell phone ASAP. Does anyone know if there is a kiosk at Orly that sells them?

Try one of the Relay Stores. I know they sell SIM cards and I believe they also sell phones. Your options could also include bringing an unlocked GSM phone and just buying the SIM.

Thank you for the reply. When we were in Italy two summers ago, neither of our unlocked iphones would work with SIM cards sold by our provider here in the states. It was a tremendous inconvenience.

Switch to T-mobile before your trip, that is my plan. I'll decide if I want to keep it when I return. Your current number AND data (which is a big factor for me).

I've used T-Mobile Simple Choice Plan on European vacations and it is convenient that it works even before you leave home. Crossing borders it switches seamlessly from one provider to the other. Service in France, Italy and Spain earlier this year was flawless. Though guaranteeing only 2G service, most of the time it was 3G and 4LTE.

If only visiting one country, local SIM card is much cheaper. Check with your current cell phone provider if their phones are compatible with European SIMS. Even though unlocked, some providers' phones will not work. What SIMs from your current provider did not work?

I've seen Relay stores sell a package behind the cash register that's a phone and sim card to get you started . . .

Thank you, Kim. This is what we are looking for. Clean and simple, with no surprises. Is there a Relay store in the airport? We arrive in Terminal W - ORLY-Ouest. Not familiar with this airport at all....

Thank you. I actually looked at this site before I posted my question and knew the name of a specific store that would meet our needs. Appreciate the help. :)

There will be multiple places to get a cell phone. I'd expect at least a few kiosks in the airport. Downtown will have phone stores, kiosks - even department stores sell phones. Normally you can get a very basic phone, SIM card a charger and some minutes for around 25 euros. The biggest hassle is having to go to a store to add minutes. Fortunately, the stores are pretty much everywhere.
