Where to eat Midafternoon in Fontainebleau

We expect to check into our hotel in Fontainebleau or at least drop off our bags around 1 PM on a Saturday. We probably want to leave for château vaux-le-vicomte by 6:00 or 6:30 p.m. (18:00 or 18:30). Any recommendations for a place to eat during "off hours" in Fontainebleau?

1.30 PM isn't off-hours, all restaurants should be open, especially on a Saturday. I wouldn't worry too much.

1 is still the lunch hour but you need to move quickly as lots of places begin to shut down lunch service at 2.

Kay, I interpreted your question as specific recommendations for a place to eat, is that correct? Because I’m sure you know there are always cafés that serve food all day.

Susan, yes I was hoping for specific recommendations for a place to eat. I wasn't sure about what kind of food the Cafés might be serving. I've been in places where it's just croc (sp?) Madame or croc Monsieur. That said, I would also be interested in hearing about any recommended cafés in Fontainebleau. I'm not really sure we can be out and about looking for a place to eat before 2 PM as I don't know how long it's going to take us to check in and straighten out some misunderstanding about them overcharging my credit card. So any recommendations at all would be welcome including for the next day, Sunday. Thanks everyone!
