Where to buy a heating pad in France?

Trip going well. In Fougeres now but my back is killing me. Pills and cream are not helping much. Would need a heating pad. Where to buy and what is it called. ? I asked a girl working at a Auchan ? But she had no clue what I was asking about. Help.

Try a pharmacie. Don't know what it is called in French, but they should be able to help you. Maybe a heat pack, either chemical or one that heats in a microwave, if you have access to one. IME experience, people pharmacies are knowledgeable and helpful. Bon chance.

I think ""coussin chauffant" would work for you, and, yes, try a pharmacy.

oh, and ask the pharmacist for something for your back pain. They are usually very helpful.

I realize this is too late to be directly meaningful, but in case it's helpful to others -- the BHV (Bazar de Hotel De Ville) department store has lots of small appliances and is centrally located. It's also a great bet for people who have forgotten adapters, chargers, etc. Also, some of the large Monoprix locations (look for the ones that are multi-story or the Monop'Beaute locations) are kind of like French Targets...they sell all manner of beauty and personal care products and might have more to offer than the smaller pharmacies, which can be hit or miss.

photo,

Ask the staff at your hotel for a French description of the item you're looking for. They will be able to suggest the nearest shops where you can buy one.
