where can i store my luggage while visiting Mont St michel?

Because of a security plan There is no left luggage service.

If you are staying in Bayeux, and pay for the Hotel Churchill shuttle to there (65 euros?) they will store your luggage for free.
I believe they go mornings, stay at MSM 3 hrs, then drive you back. Check their website.

Currently there is no immediate solution to store luggage in Mont St Michel while visiting (except the trunk of your car if you are not traveling with public transport), lockers in MSM are probably closed for a long period.

I was checking out Rennes, to leave everything but an overnight little bit, and my ups (and then downs!)
Tourist info keeps luggage. Yay! It is NOT close to the train station. Dang.
There is a service called NannyBag.com, where I prepay. Yay! The closest place I found to the train station was 2km away. Dang!
If anyone has an answer, please let me know. The bus service to MSM won't keep luggage, and Sr. Rick made it clear that it would be a real pain to haul our luggage onto the island. I am VERY INTERESTED in some other option.

I've been to Rennes several times and the tourist office is about a 20 minute walk from the train station, so this is an option if you have a long layover. But I'd call the office to make sure they can keep your bags overnight--this may be just a daytime-only service. Another option would be to call a hotel near the Rennes train station and ask them if they will keep your bags overnight even though you're not staying there. There are several right across from the plaza that are pretty convenient.
