When to start applying for Health Pass?

Sorry if this has already been asked.

I’m landing in CDG at 2 pm on September 19th. Should I start applying now for the health pass? Or wait? I heard some people say wait until a few days before (not sure what this means specifically) or some say early as possible.

Yes! We are going on Oct 3rd and applied last weekend, they do it in date order - those travelling soonest firsy. So I would just get it submitted then you know your application is in the que🙂

I applied the day they sent out the new link (I had also applied previously via email). Just got mine today, a few minutes ago, I fly 23 October.

From anecdotal evidence of those succeeding getting the pass they are not doing it in order of date of arrival -- it is a mystery. Some people with distant dates get them quickly; some people with immediate dates have not been successful. I would not delay.

I agree with Janet. It is a mystery. They do not seem to be doing them by arrival date or by date of filing.

You should apply immediately.

Definitely not doing by arrival date. Apply immediately!

Applied the old system 8/13

Applied new system 8/27.

Made change to application in new system 8/29….the change did not change my original application date.

Dossier 5336…

Received QR code 9/7

Travel date December

FyI:

For the address I used my home address

The last line I typed my home city, home state, the date I signed, and my full name.

In the comment section I added the hotel address I am staying at in Paris.

I never received an email when my application moved to review or when completed. But when I logged on to the system it showed my QR.

I applied from a different email for my husband and he received emails when the application moved to review and 2 min later when completed.

Apply now. There is no real pattern from what I can see for how long it takes but I would apply about 2 weeks before departure date for trips before November 15th. I applied on August 28th for an arrival in France of September 21st and received my pass today at around 7 AM. One of my travel companions applied on the 28th about 2 hours after I did and has not received her pass yet and she is scheduled to arrive in Paris on September 18th. My other traveling companion who is scheduled to arrive on September 21st applied yesterday morning and received her pass within minutes of submitting her application.

Okay, noted. Will apply ASAP. Does anyone know if I would have any issues if I flew open jaw into BRU (Belgium), but out of CDG? I don’t have the train ticket from Brussels to Paris yet, would I have to include that?

We had submitted ours prior to the application process going online. Only one came back with a QR code. I resubmitted the other two on Sep. 1. Within a day or two I received the response that there was a backlog and we may not receive ours before arriving on Sep. 17. I would suggest submitting now and hope for the best. Folks are posting that the CDC card seems to be OK for now. Worst case is an antigen test every 72 hours while in France.

Regarding the flight to Brussels, you need to comply with whatever the entry requirements are for Belgium. I suspect you will travel SCNF to Paris. They will probably want to see a QR code or more likely the CDC could suffice. Worst case, have an antigen test done in Brussels before boarding?
