To get from Uzes to Marseille by train/bus, would it be best to go via Nimes or Avignon, or is there another option apart from these two?

The only other option I know of is BlaBlaCar ride sharing. You download the app and connect with people offering a ride. You pay via the app. I've done it and had no problems. The government is actually supporting the use of BlaBlaCar to keep extra vehicles off the road.

Do you know how I can check if buses are running/what the schedule is for the area?
Using rome2rio its showing buses, for example for Avignon to Uzes its saying to take bus number 115.
But if I use omio its saying there is no bus.
Instead of using these 2nd hand aggregate websites, is there a direct website where I can find definitive information on buses to and from Uzes?

Here you are. It’s route 152 to the train station in Nîmes. It’s not the most convenient.
