What to do in Cap Ferrat?

We're going to Le Cote D'Azur in about ten days and have heard that Cap Ferrat was a beautiful but I can't see there is much to do there other than spend &800/night. Is there more there than staying in Nice, in Menton, or Eze?

Villa Ephrussi-Rothschild and Viila Kerylos. Not to my taste, but interesting. The gardens of the former are beautiful. Shows what you can do with a bottomless pocketbook.

I haven't been yet, but from the reading I've done, unless you are very well off, most people don't stay IN Cap Ferrat, they visit it for a day. The hike around the cap and going to one of the beaches could be a good way to round out a day there if you go to the Villa Ephrussi Rothchild. Nice would probably be a better base.

We stopped in there for a visit and did both Villa Rothschild and Villa Kerylos. I thought they were both really fun to walk through - but I love, love, love looking at houses. They were a nice contrast to each other.

We have been to Cap Ferrat on two different trips, and it is has spectacular scenery. On one trip we stayed in Villefrance sur Mer at Hotel Welcome and took the bus from the Octroi stop to the Passable stop to tour the Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild and gardens and had lunch on the terrace with great views of the Mediterranean. You can also walk to the Passable beach from there. though Villefranche itself has a lovely shale beach.. On another trip we stayed in Beaulieu sur Mer at the Hotel Royal Riviera. Behind the Hotel Royal Riviera there is a gorgeous walk to the town of St Jean on Cap Ferrat. The views from Promenade Maurice Rouvier are amazing. This is a very beautiful part of the Cote D'Azur and one of our favorite areas, You can go for a day or part of a day without staying overnight there if you wish also.

Addendum to my post: we had lunch at the restaurant at Villa Ephrussi. It was good and not terribly expensive.
