We will be stopping in Cannes on our cruise mid-June, and are trying to figure out what to do. We could take a bus to Monaco for half the day and spend the other half on a beach. My husband and I have been to Monte Carlo, but our daughter and her husband have not, and we know they would enjoy it. Is there a beach that has a nice beach, rental chairs and snorkeling? Seems like a visit to the French Riviera should include the beach! Ideas anyone? Thank you.

As well, wouldn't your cruise ship have an "excursion" expert who could answer your question? I know they are supposed to sell the ship's excursions, but they are duty bound to answer questions as well. There is a beach (pebbley) in Nice where you can rent chairs, this I know. I've only been to Cannes once and I'm not much interested in beaches so didn't notice.
Cannes has sandy beaches and any of the big fancy hotels -- the Martinez, the Carlton, etc. -- will be happy to sell you access.
