What's up with La Ferme du Pressoir (Upper Normandy)?

Greetings,
I've stayed at La Ferme du Pressoir multiple times over the past few decades. I never had difficulty making a reservation. I tried a moment ago...my email was rejected and the website (published in Ric's France 19th Edition) was dead. Does anyone know what's up? I'd really like to reserve a room there for July.
Thanks in advance for the help.

Is it possible that they closed the B&B part of their business due to COVID?Have you tried reserving through booking.com or a 3rd party site? I don't like doing that as a rule, but if they are having website issues....

"La ferme du pressoir" located in Conteville in Normandy is open.

The website is online

http://www.la-ferme-du-pressoir.com/

On Booking and Google there are very recent comments (February-March 2022) from people who have been there

Thanks, everyone! Yep, La Ferme du Pressoir lives. Ric's 19th edition of "France" has the website address as:
www.bandbnormandie.com. It is a dead link. The email address is a dead link as well. That's unfortunate.

Well, thanks, everyone.

I've been updating my planning notes on Italy and am finding a really surprising number of changes in web addresses not only for restaurants but also for museums and tourist offices; I haven't had much reason to try to use old hotel URLs. I'd think URLs would be really stable, but apparently they are not.

The La Ferme du Pressoir we stayed at was just outside of Villers-Bocage, which is/was over an hour from Conteville. That website was bandbnormandie.com but is apparently a dead site. I don't know what happened to Odile and Jacques who owned the one at Villers-Bocage but the name is now apparently on a Gite near Conteville. Lots of changes after Covid.

I wonder how unique a name like La Ferme du Pressoir is. We're talking about Normandy - famous for its cidre. To have cidre (cider) you need apples and apples need pressing for the juice. The name means The Farm (of) (with a) cidre press. There must be plenty of chance of duplication.

Sort of like a farm in Tuscany being Farm with Olive Press.

There are two gites with similar names. Odile is still running the one you have stayed at near Bayeax, but appears to have lost the website. We are staying there in June but made the reservation by phone.

We have an update! My family stayed with Odile in June. Her old website had expired and she was not confident of her computer skills.

She has a brand new airbnb listing - one for each room. airbnb.com/h/lafermedupressoirlachambrerose and airbnb.com/h/lafermedupressoirlachambrebleue

The farm was beautiful and Odile's breakfasts were bountiful! She misses her Rick Steve's guests.

There are two places in Normandy called La Ferme du Pressoir, and to make matters more confusing, the owners of both are named Odile! The one near Villers-Bocage, which was in the Rick Steves guidebooks for years (and will be again, in the next edition, with updated contact info), is indeed open and thriving, post-Covid, with the same warm hospitality and generous farmhouse breakfast.. It is now listed on AirBnB:

https://airbnb.com/h/lafermedupressoirlachambrerose

Hope this helps!
