What's cheaper Taxi from Orly Airport to Eifle Tower or a combination of shuttle busses & Metro

What's cheaper Taxi from Orly Airport Paris to Eifle Tower or Public transportation (a combination of shuttle busses and Metro)?

For 4 people and 4 pieces of luggage and 2 backpacks what would be cheaper?

If I may say so, with 4 people and 6 pieces of baggage I'd be looking for easiest, not cheapest. Take a taxi.

Taxi will
Likely be almost same price , remember they will charge you one euro per bag and an extra 3 euros for fourth person, off meter. That is legal
Charge. Taxi base fare will roughly be 35-40 euros, depends on time of day and traffic. So even if it works out to 45 -50 euros that wouldn't be a lot more then four shirt
E tickets and would be MUCHeasier. Especially since you sound like you have a fair amount of luggage .

So if the taxi says it will go from Orly Airport to PARIS RIVE GAUCHE & BOULOGNE (what general landmarks or Metro stations would that take me to)?

Also if Taxi says it will go to Orly Airport to PARIS RIVE DROITE & NEUILLY / LEVALLOIS (what general landmarks or Metro stations would that take me to)?

Sorry in advance if this is a dumb question as this is my first trip to Paris.

Sorry, but you need to clarify. Are you talking about a taxi or a shuttle? A TAXI will take you wherever you tell the driver to go, presumably in your case to your hotel or apartment.

It will cost roughly 48 Euro by public transport from Orly to anywhere in Paris. Even with the added passenger fee for your fourth passenger and the one Euro charge for 3 bags in the trunk (one rides free -- backpacks if held in your lap are free so don't put them in the trunk.) Orly is much closer to Paris than CDG. A taxi should be closer to 35-40 Euro plus the added 5 Euros -- I doubt if it would exceed 48 Euros but if it did, it would't be by much. So for 4 people it would be nuts to go through the hassle of Orlyval, RER, then carrying bags up and down stairs in the metro when you could have door to door service. And of course as tired travelers with luggage you are prime targets of pickpockets in the public transport system; my husband was literally frisked by 3 men including hands inside jacket to explore inside pockets on the stairs of an RER station last year as he carried our luggage down the stairs. We didn't lose anything because we know how not to be a walking buffet for pickpockets, but an inexperienced traveler would have lost his wallet.

Be sure to go to the official taxi queue; the cab will be on the meter. They will have a van type cab that will hold a party your size. It is the best and cheapest way for 4 people to get anywhere in Paris from Orly.

We just traveled (Monday) from Orly via cab to an apartment very close to the pantheon. From the taxi stand at orly ouest. Driver told me that it is by Km. He put four bags in back ( 1€ each), we had three occupants, my daughter held a backpack in her lap. A fourth person would have added another fee. We paid 33€, much cheaper than our alternatives and very easy and comfortable.

Just bringing the news that there is a new cheaper but slower way to get from Orly to Paris - the RATP have just opened a tram line from Villejuif at the end of Metro Line 7 that passes right through the airport. Don't know what the exact fare is, and it will be a very slow trip into town, but if you want absolute rock-bottom prices that's probably the way to go now.
