What is a great Normandy battlefield tour?

We were extremely pleased with Stuart Robertson's Normandy battlefield tour. Stuart is a graduate of the University of Leeds (UK), a full time battlefield guide, and coauthor of “Following in the Footsteps of Heroes, D-Day June 6th 1944,” a historic account and guidebook to the battlefield. He and Jenny, permanent residents of Normandy since 2004, base their tours from a beautifully renovated 17th century farm house at 1 Le Port, adjacent to one of the 82nd Airborne Division’s drop zones and about 2 km from Ste. Mere Eglise. Each tour is customized to meet the desires and needs of individuals or groups.
We were met at Paris CDG by Stuart and Jenny and driven to Normandy. Each day began with a great continental breakfast prepared by Jenny and a short overview by Stuart of upcoming activities. Transportation between points of interest was provided in a comfortable air-conditioned van with commentary by Stuart about pertinent history, battlefield sites, and landmarks as they were experienced. Lunch was on our own at one of the many cafes along the route. At the end of each day there was time to relax and clean up for dinner, enjoyed on most days at one of the many fine cafes or restaurants in Ste. Mere Eglise. The food was great and the people were very welcoming.
After three exciting and information-filled days, the Robertsons drove us to Carentan and our train to Bordeaux. Our experiences in Normandy were superb, but three days was too little time to see it all. We plan to return in the near future.

Stuart was our guide to Normandy when we were on the RS Paris and the Heart of France Tour. He was more than excellent. I really wish RS offered a tour that was more than one day in Normandy. Thanks for the great information about your experience.
