Will be renting a car at airport for a few days to go to Normandy. Can anyone recommend a good rental company? When in Rome last summer the line at Hertz was a 3 hour wait, which is crazy. We canceled in line and went with another company that had no line and I cant remember who it was.

I've booked through AutoEurope, which is a broker based in the US. They've always placed me with a car through EuropeCar, which has offices all over France. I've picked up cars at CDG twice and have had no problems. Or, you can take the train to Rouen or another Normandy city, and pick up the car there. Be advised that if you require an automatic, your chances of getting one are better at CDG. It us usually more cost effective to book the car from the US before leaving home. Have a good trip.
I'll second Europcar, whether through Kenwel/AutoEurope or directly through Europcar. I've done it both ways, and have always had good experiences (and always gotten automatics).
