My mother and I are going to Paris for New Years. What things we can do that would be safe? My mom doesn't walk very fast so I want to stay away from crowds. Does anyone know the boat tours do security checks before you board? That looked like a good way to see the tower. Any advise is appreciated.

Ok, do you know any open that has a view of the tower? I looked but didn’t find any that were open.
There will be crowds and people walking and riding the metro (which is free after 6pm) with open liquor so be careful. You can see the tower from a good distance though.
Les Ombres has an amazing view of the tower and I found it to be delightfully delicious.

Les Ombres is perfectly safe, especially if you take a taxi.
There might be security checks, if you have large tote bags.
The "loop" on the cruise goes from the same dock you came in on, so no worries.
There are Taxi stands near Quai Branly or at the Tour Eiffel.
