Are there any suggestions what a 77-year old can do in Chamonix in December?

It will be ski season so go skiing - I am older than 77 by the way. There are wonderful gondolas that go up and down and non-skiers are common. The Aiguille du Midi is a sight and on clear winter days it will be spectacular. It is France so there is wonderful food, I particularly like the elegance of Bizes on the river south of the main square, and Bistrot Des Sports for a wood-decoraded mountaineer bar with amazingly large portions. Find a heated patio and watch the families scuttle.
