Next August 2024, I am part of a large group of 8 family and friends traveling to support my Team USA 🇺🇸 athlete in the Paralympic Games! We are trying to stay in one or possibly two adjacent apartments south and within a short commuting distance of the Stade de France in Saint Denis, north of city center of Paris.
Our goal is to be within striking distance of the major attractions of (my beloved) Paris in a safe neighborhood but also be within easy walking distance to the RER B or Metro 13 line without having to change trains. Some of us have mobility issues so minimizing the commute and stairs is important to us.
What neighborhood would you recommend? Do you know a good Airbnb-like management company? Any recommendations about restaurants near Stade de France would also be so welcome. I send my thanks in advance to you for any ideas and suggestions.
What about the area near the Luxembourg stop on the RER B line? You’d have the benefit of escalators. Same plus elevators for the area at Notre Dame St Michel and for both you are in the heart of “striking distance of the major attractions. On Line 13, I like the area between Varenne and Duroc metro stations. Or are you looking for someplace outside of Paris?
Dear JHK, you are a godsend. Merci mille fois. 🇺🇸🇫🇷
Besides the other suggestions, still on line 13, the area west or immediately east of La Fourche and NW/NE of Place de Clichy is lovely, with lots of restaurants, and a short commute to Saint Denis. Just don't go too far east because of the hill up to Montmartre, and avoid staying directly on Avenue de Saint Ouen or Avenue de Clichy (loud!).
Dear Balso, this is incredibly helpful, you have no idea! Merci mille fois! 🇺🇸🇫🇷
