It was chilly and rainy with a fee good days when I was there in late Apr. Where layers and be prepared to go inside an adorable café to warm up by ordering a bowl of French onion soup.

I was there that exact time in 2019. We wore lined raincoats and were comfortable other than our last day which was quite chilly and rainy

We were in Paris the first week in May of 2018 and it was unseasonably hot- mid 80’s but cool at night. I wore a sweater on our Seine cruise. That time of year you can get anything.

We will be going mid April if I can get my act together. Looking a weather from past years to get an idea.

I've gone that time of year several times. I recommend a waterproof rain jacket with a hood, lightweight liner gloves and a puffy vest for layering. I take short sleeve and long sleeve tee shirts along with a long sleeve quarter zip dri-fit. I generally wear jeans (poly/cotton blend so they sink wash) but might have a pr of capris on standby in case it looks like it will be warm. I'm also pretty cold tolerant and would rather prepare for cold than heat.

Here is my TR from April 2022 with a weather report and capsule wardrobe, lol.

It is a beautiful time to go! IF you have any pollen allergies, arm yourself with appropriate allergy meds. Last year was so bad for pollen for me I kept doing Covid tests to make sure it was just allergies and not Covid!

Pretty broad range of possibilities but the answer to your question is pretty much 'no':

  • We arrived around April 20, 2018 to three days of sun and 80s F, then more seasonable the rest of the time.
  • This year we were there Easter Sunday to May 1 and pretty much every day was sunny and 65. (This to us is perfection; I wouldn't count on that happening again)
  • Mid May 2016: Pretty raw and wet. The Seine hit some considerably high levels and we ran "home" to our apartment in a hail storm one night. Pretty much the only sunny day was the day we flew home.

So basically check the weather just before you go and whatever it says be prepared for the whole range anyway.
