We are going on a Mediterranean cruise that stops in the Port of Cannes. We thought it might be fun and less crowded to take a water taxi or ferry from the port of Cannes to Nice, but I can't seem to find one listed on the internet anywhere. Is this impractical? I think we only have seven hours in this port and we really want to visit the Chagall museum in Nice. Rick's guide book suggests taking the train.

The above is the only company I know of that operates a ferry service but there may be others. I don't think their times will work for you though. My guess is that a charter/taxi service would be outrageously expensive.
Trains are very frequent between Nice and Cannes and would, in my opinion, be a better option. Just make sure to allow plenty of time to get back so you do not miss your ship.
Thank you very much for the information!
