Walks on the Bay - Mont St Michel

Has anyone done a guided walk on the Bay at Mont St Michel? I found the listing of guides on the local tourist website but my brain is going numb trying to translate all the French websites. Looks like tours in English are limited and websites seem nonexistent.

On the other hand I really just want to walk on the sand but don't want to risk life and limb. I would be fine just walking about a bit on our own but can only find hours for high tides. Anybody know how long it takes for the tide to go back out?

It's not just the tides. There's quicksand. Use a guide.

Absolutely make use of a guide for this kind of walking. Here in the Netherlands we have similar kinds of drowned land and it is very likely there are hidden pits you can easily step in and get stuck, with the risk of breaking or dislocating a leg. In the case you are surprised by the high tide these pits, quicksand and waterways are not visible anymore and can be very dangerous. So at least ask advise of a local guide.
