There are tons of 'Paris walks' books with assorted walking tours with maps and information about what you are seeing. We use an old one Frommer's 24 Walks in Paris which you can find used on line if it is out of print. But there are lots of sources with walks including the 50 card set of walks which you can then assemble some adjacent cards, stick them in. your pocket and use them. My favorite walk in the Frommer's book is in the 16th and focuses on Guimard buildings and other interesting architecture. But the Marais is of course full of interesting buildings and parks.

Also look on line to see if there are some good maps and curated walks. We much prefer self guided walks where we stop for coffee or in a park as we please rather than being herded along.

The guide was a lady from the u s who had lived in Paris for over 35 years.
