walk from Eiffel Tower to Place de la Concorde?

We're planning to walk to the Eiffel Tower, then Place de la Trocadero. From there, we'd like to walk to Place de la Concorde (after that to the Louvre).

Which side of the river is better/nicer walking from Place de la Trocadero to Place de la Concorde?

Google shows some options on one side:

Or should we cross back to the Eiffel Tower and along the other side of the river from there (3.2 km)

You can "walk" all those routes virually, using Google Maps. See for yourself which you prefer. Personally, I've always liked the walk along the left bank.

I guess you'll walk from the Eiffel Tower to Trocadero, but the walk from Trocadero to the Eiffel Tower is a much nicer walk as you get unobstructed views of the tower.

ok thanks.

I didn't know if one side was more 'industrial" in terms of moored boats and boat-related traffic.

Yes, the views from trocadero will be great. .As we walk towards it, we will turn around every 5 minutes to look and take photos.

We are in Paris on June 19-21, then hooking up with RS tour in Chartres, followed by Viking cruise from Avignon to Lyon. Should be great. But I just checked the weather and it looks like 37C for our 3 days in Paris. That will slow us down and may change our walking plans. We'll adapt.

My preferred route, which I've done a few times, is over to the Palais Tokyo, then to Pont d'Alma, then along the river on the lower route to the Pont Alexander III, then to the Petit Palace, to the Place d'Concorde. Look for the T-Rex. Good views to the Eiffel Tower from this walk.

I find Paris to be the best city for walking that I've ever visited. Hard to have a bad walk in Paris. If I had several days in Paris I'd want to do this same walk over a variety of routes.

The walk from the Eiffel Tower to Concorde is nicer on the left bank, as you have a proper promenade all the way. Take a few steps on Passerelle Debilly to have a great view of the Eiffel Tower.

And I wouldn't walk from the Eiffel Tower to the Trocadéro : best to arrive from the Trocadéro, walk down to the Tower, and continue!

As for the weather, scenarios are a bit muddled for the moment. Friday is looking to be very hot, but maybe not the weekend. You'll see.

We're arriving June 19 Friday, heading to Chartres on Monday. It will be crazy hot for the 3 days we're there - 35 to 39 and humid!
We will probably have to cut down our walking around on Saturday.
Thanks for the tips on walking.

Another vote for the left bank. I just feel there is more of interest such as moored boats and such (I have seen music and dancing there too). The right bank is also Sunnier (i.e., hotter) which could be good or bad depending on the time of year.

Left bank for sure. I would metro to Trocadero and walk toward Eiffel Tower, as suggested above - avoids backtracking. After crossing the bridge, passing the Tower, and walking through the Champ de Mars, take a slight detour along the rue Cler market, then through the grounds of Les Invalides and onto Quai d'Orsay, and across the bridge to Concorde.
