Need advice. Has anyone stayed at the Waldorf Astoria in Versailles . Just wondering how easy is the commute to visit Paris. Thanks for any input. I will be traveling there May 2024.

It's a lovely hotel. We really enjoyed it. The hotel is situated on the right side of the palace grounds, very near the Queen's gate. We took a taxi direct there from the airport, and then into Paris later because we had luggage. If you are just going in for the day it is about a 20 minute walk to the RER station.

Stayed there for two nights one hot summer to get out of Paris and have AC. The summer cocktail special was amazingly good. We drove from Paris. I think the Rive Droite Versailles train station is within walking distance and from there you could catch the Transilien into Gare St. Lazare. I suggest asking the front desk for more details on getting to the train station.
