Wait times for Eiffel Tower elevator in September

Group of 5 seniors going to Paris on September 17, 2025. What is an estimate of wait time for elevator to top level? We will purchase advanced tickets. Thinking of going up around 6:00 Pm to be up and stay until sunset at 7:58

It is not entirely predictable. Sometimes they are using 3 legs and all the prebooked folks go up one; other times they feed the people currently buying tickets into the pre-booked line and it takes longer.

Two years ago we waited 70 minutes with timed tickets to get on the elevator. I would plan on 30 minutes but realize that it could if your luck is bad be much longer. Once on the second floor the wait for the elector to the top can be quite long. The year we waited 70 minutes at the bottom, the top was closed for wind and then they opened it about the time we got to the second floor and everyone was not aware of the change, so we immediately hopped in line for the top and had almost no wait for that at all. With two small elevators to the top, the wait can be long.

Our ET experience was early October, a couple of years ago. We had advance tickets, but still waited over an hour for the elevator to level two. The elevator was packed - think your face an inch or so from the people in front of you. At level two, the line for the top snaked most of the way around the second level. Many people who didn't believe in queues were shoving their way into the line. We skipped going to the top even though we had tickets for the lift - it wasn't worth the aggravation.
