My wife and I have stayed twice in Colmar to visit Egishem, Kayersberg, Riquewihr and Ribeauville.
We also stayed once in Strasbourg.
We are very interested in visiting Obernai (or perhaps even staying there for a week) and Barr along the Alsace wine route.
My wife in particular would like very much to stay in one locale and relax for a week. Since we already have stayed in Colmar and
Strasbourg, would staying in Obernai make sense to use it as a home base. We would travel to other towns along the wine route using the train as our travel mode. Obernai appears to be a very pretty and interesting town.
