Visiting Les Invalides

I just purchased a ticket for Les Invalides. It's been over 20 years since I've been there. All I remember is Napoleon's Tomb. Any suggestions as to the best way to tackle this large establishment?

It is huge. I would decide what period of history is most interesting to you, and concentrate, or at least start, at that section. If you're the type to look carefully at exhibits and read whatever signage they have, you can spend a considerable amount of time there. I believe they have a map of the various buildings ad exhibits, but I couldn't immediately find it. I have gone twice, and went to completely different areas each time.
