We will be visiting Toulon and want to pick up a car there, but hope to avoid city traffic by picking it up at the Toulon/Hyeres Airport instead of at the railway station. Is there frequent bus transportation to the airport from the city, or would it be better to pick up the car at the railstation?

Although the route may include a construction detour, bus schedules to the airport from Toulon Train/Bus station are pretty frequent. However, looking at Google Maps or www.viamichelin.com, the driving route from the train station to the highway also looks pretty easy and direct. (I have not visited Toulon.)
