Although their wines may be over priced, our friends really love wines from the appellation Sancerre. Does anyone have suggested vineyards to visit and places to stay? We would probably spend two days in the area.
Do your friends who like the Sancerre wines have some wineries they are interested in? Les Monts Damnés area produces some of the best known Sancerre. Reverdy, distributed in the US, is there.
Over the years I’ve been partial to Pierre Prieur et Fils in the tiny hamlet of Verdigny. The Prieurs are one of the oldest vigneron families.Their website has links to the Maison des Sancerre (great presentation of the appellation and details on wine tastings), plus lodging and restaurants:

BTW Sancerre just won the “Village préféré des Français” for 2021, beautiful historic center. And do try the local Chavignol goat cheeses.
Thank you for your input!
