We have finally finished booking hotels in Italy and are now looking into French Riviera. We are thinking of making our one splurge be a room at Hotel Welcome. However, the 18 euro per person charge for breakfast is a little too rich for our blood. My question - are there cafes that one could get a breakfast close by? I looked on Trip Advisor under "breakfast" and they are all in Nice.
Take a virtual walk using your hotel address and use GoogleWalk Street View.
Plug in "patisseries" or "boulangeries" under "nearby" and you'll probably find lots of them within walking distance.
Look for a "menu petit dejeuner" for best prices. You might not have a place to sit, but can take breakfast back to your hotel room.
Thank you for the tip - Google walk is awesome! I have never used it before. Found what looks to be a lovey cafe that serves breakfast very close to the hotel.
