Viking River cruise ending in Paris (Le Pecq) Seine

We need to know what time of day the shuttle to airport leaves the ship. Our next Viking tour begins in Lisbon. We are trying to find a flight from Paris to Lisbon on Nov 7 , 2021 for Duoro R cruise.
Any suggestions appreciated. Thank you
We will begin on Rhone R cruise. Any information on choices of tours to take or skip? Thanks

We've done all our river cruises with Tauck so I can only speak to how they do it for transfers. There is no set time for a shuttle. They arrange transfers based on what information you give them as to when your flight (or train if you're taking a train) leaves and they then tell you when you'll be leaving the ship. They know how long it takes to get to the airport and how early you need to be there. They also know everyone else's plans so they put you in groups of people going to the same airport at about the same time. Might be 6 people in a van or 20 on a bus. Might be 6am or 9:30am. Just depends. Generally, like hotels, they want you out of your room by a particular time like 9 or 10 am because the crew has to clean the rooms and get them ready for the next group who will be arriving that day.

I'd recommend you call Viking and find out what their procedures are. I'd also consider when you can arrive at the new ship and if too early will they store your luggage and can you then set out on foot to see some sites. If not, then you don't want to arrive too early.

As to choices of tours, which are you offered? The Rhone was our first river cruise and most companies go to many of the same spots but there are differences.

I agree that a call to Viking about your disembarkation time and transfers would be in order. I believe that you need to vacate your cabin by 0800, but your actual time to board your transfer will depend on your flight time.

It sounds like you may be new to river cruising. There is a subforum devoted to river cruises on the Cruise Critic website. You might want to ask a few questions there, to get answers from cruisers who have gone on previous Viking trips.

No one here can answer your question about shuttle timing, but Viking should be able to tell you when is the earliest flight departure they can accommodate with their airport shuttle service. These times may be different depending on whether you'll fly from CDG or Orly. If they haven't provided that info, I suggest contacting them. You'll need to know that in order to line up your flight to Lisbon.

I'm a little confused about your initial cruise, never heard of a Rhone cruise that ends in Paris. But that's OK because I have no Rhone experience to offer you.

Now that I look at the original post again it is confusing. Title says Paris (Le Pecq) Seine but in the body they say it's a Rhone cruise. Ours had some days in a Paris hotel at the start but the cruise portion started and ended in Lyon. We flew Lyon to Paris then home.

I too found this post confusing? I am scheduled on a Viking river cruise early Oct that begins in Paris. Since I am aware of their itineraries offered I have not seen a “Rhône cruise”? All the Viking arranged shuttles, times, ports etc are to be found on Viking site or a call to them. They are very good about communication of these details.
