I will be visiting Versailles in the beginning of September on a Sunday. I am sure it will be packed. I plan on visiting the gardens in the early afternoon and the palace before it closes. They are offering tickets for a timed entry for 27 Euros (including gardens/fountains) for various times, I would be shooting for the last timed entry at 4pm. I also am planning on purchasing the Museum Pass to all access to various museums, but also Versailles.
Should I just show up with my Museum Pass towards the end of the day (4pm-ish), or go ahead and pay the 27 Euro for the timed entry to guarantee I get in? I will have to pay 10 Euro to enter the Gardens because of the fountain shows with the Musuem Pass, so it is only a difference fo 17 Euros. Do I risk it or pay the $$$? Anyone have any experience with this?
Thanks
