Last year I booked the king's apartment guided tour through the palace, but I had a 6-day museum pass that I had purchased days before, so I didn't need an entrance ticket. My friend is going to Paris in September and we booked her the guided tour, but she will probably not have a museum pass. Does anyone know if you can buy a entrance ticket to the Palace at the guided tour check in desk? Part of the reason for buying the guided tour was to avoid all of the lines to get in at the palace. No. You need to buy the ticket on line before you go and just print it off. I got the palace only ticket (it was a garden day) and then we bought garden tickets on site later. You must have your ticket to the palace as well as your KAT ticket to be allowed on the KAT tour.
