Versailles Rive Gauche Train Station - Storage Lockers?

Are there luggage storage lockers at the Versailles Rive Gauche station?

Thank you!

According to their web site there are no lockers at this station. They are rather rare. For one thing given the security situation, lockers are now only available where there is a security system in place e.g. at Gare du Nord, you put your luggage through x-ray and are then admitted to the lockers. It is rare to find such facilities at small stations. Most of the large stations in Paris have some sort of luggage storage except Bercy and St. Lazare I believe.

I've been advised that there are no luggage storage lockers at the Versailles Rive Gauche train station (thank you, Janet!). I am not staying near by so I can't drop off the back at a hotel. Any suggestions on where I can store my bag?

Thank you!

You can store a small bag -- e.g. a small backpack or a messenger bag at the coat room at Versailles but they will not accept large pieces of luggage and that is stricter now for obvious reasons.

Here is the most recent note on baggage which is on the Versailles web site:

Following the terror attacks in Paris on Friday, November 13, 2015 and to ensure the safety of our visitors, the Palace of Versailles is strictly applying security measures decided by the French authorities.

The Palace is open.

It is strongly recommended not to bring suitcases and luggage to the museum. Only luggage not exceeding 55cmx35cmx20cm will be accepted.

Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience and delay which may be caused by the extra security checks at the entrances.

Are there any suggestions on where to store a small suitcase? I am going thru Versailles to Paris so do not have a hotel to store it at while touring Versailles.

Thank you!

You may just have to forego Versailles this trip or else plan an overnight in Versailles and then carry on to your final destination.

Hi,

I would not count on it at all. Unlike Germany, the French did away with coin lockers at train stations since the mid-1990s. There are left luggage facilities at Gare du Nord and Gare de l'Est.
