Versailles, private side

Does anyone know if I purchase a ticket to the guided tour "Versailles, private side" will I then be able to use the Paris Museum Pass for entry to the remainder of the Palace? Without waiting in a queue? The "private side" tour is replacing the "private apartments of the kings" in September. Thanks for any help!

Yes. You can pair either a ticket or a Museum Pass with the tour ticket. It will be checked when you arrive at the tour facility before the tour and when you go through tour security. FWIW. I did the KAT this spring and would if doing it again have booked a timed ticket and skipped the 90 minute tour before visiting the chateau. I have seen lots of chateaux and so this was not sufficiently interesting for the time spent on a hot day. Behind the scenes is naturally less opulent than the public areas of the chateau. Many people don't agree with me on this but I throw it out there if you are using the tour to avoid the line -- the timed tickets get you. the same advantage.
