Planning a trip to London and Paris in August 2026 with my 16 year old daughter. I know it will be hot, but we’re wondering how hot it will be to explore Versailles. My dad did a Fat Tire Bike Tour a few years ago and loved it but that was in April. Would it be uncomfortable in August to do the biking tour?
None of us have a crystal ball and only you know your tolerance to heat.
Last August daytime highs in Versailles ranged from 69f to 89f.
Doing anything in Paris in August can be uncomfortable.
I agree with Jeanm. IF you book it what are the cancellation policies? Can you cancel and not be charged up to, say, 2 days from the tour? At about 3 days out you should be pretty sure what the temps will be but I don't have much confidence any further out than that!
I agree with Pam! Book something refundable, and make sure that you can get your money back for pretty much any reason.
Paris can be BRUTAL in August. This year is predicted to be not just an El Niño, but a very hot summer on top of that. 🥵
