Versailles Fountains Late March

This is our first visit to Paris and the family plans on visiting Versailles on Sat. March 25th . Will the fountains be working that day and if so at what time ? We will use a museum pass for entry to the palace . If the fountains are operating can I get tickets to the garden without waiting in a long line ? We don't care if there is music with the fountains or not, just would like to see the fountains working .

Thanks in advance

Sorry the fountains don't run till April.. (April through October) . The gardens are ok in March but not as nice as later in season.. do be sure to visit Marie Antionettes Hamlet

I have visited Versailles 8-9 times now ( over many years) and only saw the fountains once.. while nice I wouldn't go out of my way to see them again so don't feel too bad.

You do realize you could go on the Versailles Official Website and get all these answers yourself.. more up to date then just asking other travellers sometimes. I suggest you check out the website anyways.. lots of helpful tips on how to make best use of your time too.

They open March 31; it is IMHO well worth it. We went in late October a year ago just to see the gardens/fountains

It was well worth it. Unfortunately March 25 is too early. We found virtually no line for the gardens when we went; the line for the chateau was blocks long. Be sure to arrive at the chateau about half an hour before its scheduled opening in order to minimize the line wait.
