Hi,
I have a timed entry ticket for Versailles at noon. Am I able to visit the Gardens before noon? Also, can teens (US citizens) enter for free?
You can enter the gardens early. If it is a fountain day then you will presumably have a ticket that includes the gardens. If not it is free to all. I believe that teens need to get a free ticket on line which you should have booked when you booked your own ticket to visit the chateau. They will have to pay to enter the gardens on a fountain day. The tickets can be purchased on site or on line. On line is better; the line is not crazy long but who wants to wait at all when you get get the tickets ahead?
This from the FAQ on the official site pertains to your teens:
If you are entitled to free admission, you must book a time-stamped ticket. To do this, book the slot of your choice online and select the free ticket option.
