VeriFLY Requirements- Clarification

Hi all
Forgive me if I’m posting this in the wrong category (instead of travel) but because it’s pertaining to France I posted it here.

In VeriFLY, it asks for photo, Covid test (done 48 hrs before travel), and only the sworn statement? I am totally confused. There’s a link to do a DÉPISTAGE - FORMULAIRE PASSAGER (passenger screening) that gives you a QR code?
Thank you in advance. We leave Monday and I’m trying to have all of our documents squared away but it seems like never ending paperwork….

Not really sure what exactly is your question or where your confusion lies. Can you clarify?

Hi Arnold
So along with the Covid test, there is a checklist item for the travel authorization - one link that says sworn statement, and another link that you fill out with your d.o.b., place of birth, SSN, etc which gives you a QR code once complete.
This is driving me crazy!! Haha

On VeriFLY, it has loaded my vaccine record, but wrongly tells me that no Covid test is required. I wonder if the app needs an update.

Stephanie- that app is driving me nuts. And customer service with American is no help! I don’t think anyone knows what’s going on….

I would be VERY suspicious of a site asking for SSN. It means nothing outside the US, so wonder why it would be asked for travel to a foreign country.

Thank you, Joe. I thought it was strange.
I’m guessing only the sworn Covid page then…

I am not loading that app with SSN….I loaded this app with my CDC card for proof of vaccination which includes 3 doses…the last being the booster….they updated the app to include asking for proof of booster for over 65 which I am, and, my booster sits on my CDC card…it’s not specifically marked ‘booster’ ….what in the world do they think the 3rd shot was!!!!

You are correct that AA does not know how badly this app works and are absolutely no help.

I asked if we can just bring paper documents to be checked and they said that was fine….so that is probably what I am going to do.

I just revisited the app and when you click on Travel Authorization…the second paragraph ‘ Passenger Screening form looks to be a Passenger Locator Form…the French have SSN’s but I am not sharing my US one. Also which phone # and email address are they asking for since they have the French dial code already there as is ‘France’ for country.

You also need to D/L the Statement of Honor form to sign

Stephanie ….right now my app is asking for Covid test results at least 4 hrs before flight….and some of their entry requirements are incorrect.

In any case I’m going old school with paper documents

Chris,
It’s one of the links the app sends you to. There’s two links on that requirement and one of them has the ssn request . The other is the sworn Covid statement for prior to departure.

I've had the same issue as Stephanie. It is telling me that we don't need a negative test. When I emailed customer service, they said a test isn't necessary if you are vaccinated. I emailed back with a link and copied the section from the French government site that clearly states you do need one. Here is their response:

"The VeriFLY team are working to ensure the travel requirements for each destination are kept up to date - we appreciate your feedback here and will update the Pass requirements where appropriate In this case, we kindly recommend you to show all the required travel documentation at the airport and they will be verified for you at the check-in desk."

What is the point of the app if this is what I have to do?!?!

To go to your original question, Danielle, I do think there is a sworn statement that you have to fill out and sign. You can find it on the French Interior Ministry Website: https://www.interieur.gouv.fr/Actualites/L-actu-du-Ministere/Certificate-of-international-travel#from4

You may have to scroll down and click where it says "to/from and amber country" to get to the right documents.

Personally, I am deleting VeriFLY as they aren't able to do the one thing they exist to do.

I used the Verifly app twice-once in October and once in November with success. But with all of the changes taking place, it may just take a little time for the app to update.

Danielle,

I also see the form you are talking about in VeriFLY - the Passenger Screening Form. I can't find anywhere else that says this is required. It doesn't seem to mention it on any of the Interior Ministry pages. If I do fill it out, I will leave my SSN as 0 (which it says you can do).

:D

BTW…do y’all have Combined Passenger Disclosure and Attestation to the USA?

You need that on return too.

Thanks, Cary!
So I got a response from Verifly. She sent me the link (I think she accidentally sent the green country one instead of Amber) and it’s the one that has this as a title:

SWORN UNDERTAKING TO COMPLY WITH RULES FOR ENTRY
INTO METROPOLITAN FRENCH TERRITORY

So I think that is all that is needed.
So now it’s al about printing that, copies of passport, and the passe sanitaire.

On the plus side, almost done with packing (no joke packing for 5! So much easier packing for a cold region for just my husband and me!😂). Looks like it’s going to be much colder than it has been and wet!

Yes, Verifly is not much help at all. As far as I know, you need:
1) Proof of vaccination
2) Sworn Statement from Amber Country
3) Negative Covid test within 48 hours of Departure

Stephanie- I think I’m just going to prepare and bring that one (sworn statement). I received two separate emails with conflicting information from VeriFLY. I don’t think I’m going to bother with that other one with too much personal information.
The airlines should have any other documentation we must fill it out before flight.
I have no idea how people take care of all this paperwork if they do not use or don’t have access to the Internet!!

Go to this page (in English from the French government), scroll down past the big Uk travel alert, and choose the tab for “Travel to/from Amber list countries,” and entering France, and then scroll down to the “sworn statement” document.

https://mobile.interieur.gouv.fr/Actualites/L-actu-du-Ministere/Certificate-of-international-travel#from4

And I would just forget Verifly and use all paper copies. It sounds like verifly is unable to keep up.
