We didn't go to Reims, but enjoyed the Champagne Tour as a driving experience. For any American, seeing these battlefields and how the French people managed to survive was a heart rendering experience. The country side is peaceful and covered in pine forests. Several forts are sites to visit. There is a memorial and ossiary and cemetery in the battlefield area that will make your heart stop. Cecil took us to the Missouri memorial, only two states have a memorial to the men lost in the war near Verdun and the Argonne. We got into actual trenches and saw the town that was tunneled under and blown up. A moving experience.
