Vegetarian-friendly Restaurant Recos in Reims, Colmar and Dijon

Bonjour! We're staying in Reims, Colmar, and Dijon during a 12-day trip in early May and my wife is a vegetarian (no fish). We've been to France a few times before and know it can be tough to find restaurants with solid vegetarian options outside of the larger cities. Most of the time, we end up eating Middle Eastern, Thai, Italian, or Pizza since there's a better chance those menus have vegetarian main dishes.

I'd love your recos for any places you've been to that are vegetarian-friendly. Thanks in advance!

Have you used Happy Cow? It works in Europe as well as the U.S. I looked up Colmar and Dijon and there are lots of choices there, but didn't find any for Reims. I am a vegetarian and have never found it difficult to eat well. However, I must admit sometimes lunch is frites and a glass of wine or a yummy dessert and cafe creme.

Yes, in Colmar I wound up at a delicious Indian restaurant. The local Alsatian cuisine is pretty meat-heavy as in Choucroute Garni - sauerkraut topped with meaty, porky parts, haha. The local flammenkueche might work for your wife as a vegetarian since it has cheese and a cream base. Basically a "white pizza", if you know what that is, hahaha. They did have some versions with veggies but most had Lardons which to me as a former Southern gal, looks like fatback. I did get one for lunch and just ate around the lardons. I'm sure there was pork fat in it but I am not vegan for religious reasons so was OK with just the avoidance technique.

I do use Happy Cow as Laurie Beth suggests.
