There will be 4 of us. Would $60/person be a fair amount? Also have you heard of gettransfer.com? I read about it and it seems similar to Uber. Thank you.

Do you want to go there and not come back with them or do you want them to take you there and guide you around the D-Day locations and take you back to Paris the same day?

Yes, round trip and to be our D-Day guide.

The small van tour of the landing sites I took five years ago was 70€ per person, and it originated in Bayeux, not CDG or Paris. I think you can expect to pay much more than 60 per person, if you find a small van tour that will pick you up at CDG.

The company you asked about is a car service, not a D-Day tour.

I would not rely on fitting into 60-70 euro per pax budget, as you will have round trip AND which is most important, companies usually charge for the waiting time as well. For a Van, in Paris, would be easily >500 Euro for such trip, easily. I would leave the luggage somewhere in Paris (ex your hotel or storage) and then catch a train and back, will be a lot more affordable. Check SNCF site for timetable and prices.

I think you need to recalibrate your expectations, as you're unlikely to get both a car service to Bayeux and a guided tour in a US$60 (€52) per-person budget. You should also separate these -- figure out transportation to Bayeux, then separately look into a guided tour option once you're there.

Overlord Tours, for example, already charges €65 for a half-day or €100 for a full-day tour of the D-Day trips, and this is for pick-up in Bayeux. They do offer a private two-day tour with pick up and drop off from Paris for 1-8 people but that's €1,900 (!!).

The train from Paris to Bayeux is as little as €17 per person if you book ahead. I would take the train, unless you have mobility issues or enormous amounts of luggage (which many on this board would recommend that you decrease anyway.) Good luck!
