Vaison la Romaine hotel

I'm planning a late October visit to Vaison, by car, looking to spend two nights. I'd hoped to stay at Les Tilleuls d'Elisee on the edge of the lower town, but they're booked with a group the whole week. So I'm looking for advice on plan B -- a hotel with reliable parking in either the upper or lower town.

The RS-recommended Burrhus and Beffroi are possibilities, but I'm concerned about parking for both, and street noise for the Burrhus right on Place Montfort. The RS guidebook for 2010 also recommended La Fete en Provence, in the upper town, which still looks good based on its website but for some reason must have fallen out of our host's favor. Does anyone have experience with any of these places, positive or negative? Any other recommendations in Vaison?

Plan C is to spend both nights in Orange, which I'll be visiting anyway, and see Vaison on the day between -- about half an hour's drive each way. The Hotel le Glacier looks good in Orange. Any experience with it, or other hotels to recommend there?

Thanks for any help or experience you can share.

I stayed at Hotel Burrhus about six years ago. I thought it was quite nice actually, with a lovely little breakfast patio over the square. Vaison-La-Romaine is a pretty quiet place, even more do at night. There’s only a couple restaurants on the square, and they’re not open all night. I don’t recall any issues with noise.

Orange is a decent stop, but I would make an effort to stay in Vaison versus Orange.
