We are a family traveling to Paris late April and we are thinking about getting a vacation photographer for an hour or two one day. I've heard of Flytographer and will check that out but does anyone have any specific recommendations of photographers if they have done something like this in the past? Or even if you have used Flytographer and loved your photographer I would like to hear about that too! Thank you!

I don't know anything about Flytographer but take a look at Ever Photoshoot. They have a 2-hour photo shoot with 30 photos for 210€ http://www.everphotoshoot.com/. A person I know who has very good judgment and who has been to Paris often used them and was very pleased.
I'll just say to look carefully at the sample photos on the photographer's website. If the people look relaxed and happy, that's a fair indication that the photographer is a pleasant, congenial person who will put you at ease. Nervous, self-conscious people make poor photo subjects, and some photographers are much better than others at getting a bunch of strangers to relax in front of the camera.
Huh. I've never heard of doing such a thing. This is one reason I read these forums -- to learn.
Of course, the last thing I would want is a photo of myself but I fully understand that others have different priorities. They obviously do, with the proliferation of selfie sticks.
