When using Navigo easy, is there a place to scan the card as you leave the metro as we used to slide the t+ticket upon exiting?

You do not scan tickets when exiting the Metro, since one ticket covers the entire system. If you are transferring to the RER system, you do have to scan the card to enter the system (open the turn stile), and also when you exit the system to open the exit gate. This is because there are various fares based on distance traveled on the RER system.
Yes, there are card readers at every turn stile or exit gate if needed.
