I'm visiting Paris early May with 5 college friends, first time for some. I have 3 museum passes that weren't used in 2021. How can I order/confirm reserved slots at Sainte Chapelle and somehow use these museum passes along with purchasing 3 new ones? Same with the Orsay Museum that afternoon. I have had good fortune with museum pass, but know crowds are tough and one friend doesn't have unlimited mobility. Merci for any pointers or direction to find answer-
Are you sure the unused Museum Passes can still be used?
how do you mean you have had good fortune with this 5 year old museum Pass?
You say it is unused?
What does it give as an expiration date printed on the pass? Are you talking about the Paris Museum pass as it was? That passes dramatically changed in the last few years and it is completely different from what it used to be.
I think your odds will be poor. Good luck.
Specifically, what museum passes do you have? Most passes, including the Paris Museum Pass, have strict time limits whether you have used them or not.
They start running with first use, so the way to find out is to try them and buy new ones if they don't work. Start with a place without long lines.
I've used several years old unused Paris Museum Passes with no problems.
Here is the quote from the Paris Museum Pass website:
"Can the pass be purchased several months before use?
Yes, you can, for example, buy a pass in January and only use it in July. Activation is automatic from the first visit. The date of purchase has no impact on validity."
Pam, thanks for correcting me on the Paris Museum Pass. It has been a while since I've purchased one.
Well, I haven't actually purchased one myself recently but a friend gave me a "leftover" one after Covid and it worked just as it should have. I LOVE leftovers! Museum passes, money, Metro cards, hahaha!!
