I do not have a French mobile phone number but have been stumped with finding the desired format for my US phone number on several ticketing sites - Paris SG and Musee D’orney. I’ve tried every combo I can think of, including fake French number 0600000000.
I know someone here has gotten tickets for these venues. What did you do?

Be very careful with your spelling. That could be a part of a problem. It is Musee d'Orsay.
Paris SG is a football club (PSG). Is that what you mean? Please clarify the venue you are asking about. Or are you asking about the Saint Germain neighborhood in Paris?
Be aware that if it is too far in the future the tickets for a place may not be up yet. What dates are you trying for, and what is Paris SG?

I’ve gotten as far as putting the tickets in the cart and am trying to create my profile in the ticketing sites to complete the purchase. Phone number is a required field and the system gives an error for the my US phone number.
I’m asking for the hack for this system barrier.
Have you tried putting a +1 in front of your phone number?
I juat had a look - it's just standard international format, + followed by country code then number.
Are you using the + sign and country code? For example, If your US number is (202) 555-1234 then you need to enter +12025551234
I recently bought tickets for musee d'orsay , took a few minutes with no glitches . My question is are you on the museum's website or a third party reseller ? I also don't recall having to provide a phone number
I went to this website, which appears to be the official site. ( https://billetterie.musee-orsay.fr/index-css5-museeorsay-lgen-pg1.html ) and a phone number is not required to create an account to purchase tickets.
Perhaps someone can confirm (or correct) that being the official site.

Tickets to the football match are sold out so that one is moot. Next research question "where is a good place to watch a football match in Paris?"
