We have the ETAs for the UK. Is another needed for Paris in March? I have read that the UK ETA will suffice, but don’t know if that is true and if it will change by March. Thank you.
The ETA is just for the UK and is good for two years.
As of now, no extra documents are needed for France besides your passport. At some point, an EES will be needed to enter the EU but no starting date has been announced.
Remember, the UK is no longer in the EU.
Thank you. We will have to monitor this before we go.

To be a bit pedantic, what you might someday need for the Schengen area is an EITAS, the Schengen equivalent to the UK ETA or the US ESTA.
EES is just the unified electronic system the Schengen countries hope to use to record entries and exits, but is required to be in place before EITAS is rolled out. Everyone will use EES, the EITAS will likely only be required for residents of countries that have a Visa Waiver status with the Schengen area.
Thank you. You're not being pedantic. I'm a retired librarian/archivist, so I value correct data. I did see that spelling, but wanted to keep my message short. Now I'm being pedantic. LOL
So long as we're being pedantic, the correct acronym is "ETIAS."
