US citizen arriving to CDG from Toronto

My family of 5 (kids are 5,8 and 12) is flying out of Toronto because it was much cheaper than our closest airport in the states. Is there anything we should be prepared for that would make passport control at CDG more difficult because of this? This is the first trip to Europe for all of us.

We are flying to Venice from Paris, but it seems like things are straightforward on that leg because of the Schengen area agreement.

Thanks!

It will make no difference if you are an American citizen arriving from Canada or an American citizen arriving from the US. This is one item you can cross off your worry list. I hope you have a great time!

You could arriving from Botwana. It doesn't matter. What matters is the passport you carry.

I live in NY but have flown out of Toronto to Europe on many occasions for the same reason. You shouldn't have any issues at all as long as all of the passports are current. Have a wonderful time, and congrats on your first trip to Europe!

sometimes immigration is split between EU and non EU passengers but it doesn't matter where you are coming from
