Upcoming trip to Normandy

Hello All - once again looking for your wise advice! Heading to Normandy on 10/21- 10/23. I am wondering if we may have a bit of an issue on Sunday (10/21) and Monday (10/22) with restaurants and shops in some of the villages/towns not being open for business on those days. We will have a car and our general plan is as follows:

Sunday 10/21 - Leave hotel in in Rouen (where we arrive on Saturday) and then explore Etretat, Honfleur, very quick stops in Trouville and Deauville. Stay in Rouen or Bayeux for the night.

Monday 10/22 - Plan is to explore the Route Du Cidre (stops in Beuvron en Auge and Cambremer for sure) but have not yet been able to confirm if these villages and the producers on the route will be open. Also will visit E. Graindorge Fromagerie in Livarot (their website states they will be open on 10/22). End the day and stay the night in Bayeux.

If these two days will be wasted due to limited openings in general, I may need to quickly revise out plan :) Thanks!

Some restaurants and shops might not be open Mondays but others will be. I haven't been to cider places but I'd think they'll be open at the peak cider-making season. Check any websites you know about.

A guidebook will give you opening and closing days for other sights like the beaches or Bayeux Tapestry or museums, but again I'd be surprised if any major sights are closed.

I was in Bayeux yesterday (Sun 30 Sep) and today (Mon 1 Oct) and the cathedral and the museum in Bayeux were open both days. Plenty of shops and restaurants closed on Sun but enough open to have lunch and dinner (try the places on Rue de Cuisine). Everything was open on Monday, also in the villages and towns on the D-day tour route.

If the cideries are like wineries, most will only be open if you call them a day or two in advance and let them know you are coming. Wineries in France are rarely like US wineries. They don't have public tasting rooms with regular business hours. The upside is the tours are better, the downside is you need to call ahead or you can't take advantage of them. I'd guess (but only guess) that's true of other small producers.
