I'm doing a round-up of upcoming exhibitions at the major Paris museums, ahead of our spring visit. And I'm surprised how many museums don't have much 2023 information, or only go into the first two or three months of the year. The Louvre only lists upcoming exhibitions through March '23. The l'Orangerie through February; Petit Palais through January. The Musée Carnavalet is also only through January '23 and the Rodin Museum is through March. There are a couple exceptions, namely the Pompidou (May) and the d'Orsay (June); however, I'm curious if it is typical for these major museums to not announce upcoming exhibitions until closer to time. Or, as I suspect, do you think this is another side-effect of Covid, where museums are gun-shy about announcing anything too far in advance?
